This is a really easy way to give fresh green beans a little extra flavor and crunch.
Toast a few slivered almonds in a pan for a few minutes, without oil, until they are golden brown. Set aside.
Trims the ends of the beans and submerge in salted boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain. Add beans back to pan with a little olive oil and butter. Toss until well coated. Garnish with toasted almonds and a sprinkle of salt. See? So easy!
That looks great. I’ve had tons of green beans in our CSA this year and have had so much fun playing with them. I’ve mostly used hazelnuts so will have to try almonds.
